Pride and Prejudice 1940
went into this with truly the most open mind because i’m really not that much of a book purist & obviously i knew id never like it as much as the 2005 movie, but i fear this was just not good. i know i said i wouldn’t try and compare it too much but the deviations made were wayyy too far. its one thing to change a thing or two with the plot, but we lost so much of the spirit of the characters that it just wasn’t right at all.
