Overall the movie rocks. What it lacks in substance for our vampire it makes up for in artistic expression, starting with symmetrical shots then switching to asymmetry. Empowers women and finally we have a vampire that isn’t sexy. Brutal, disgusting, and beautiful film.

Another masterpiece from Ghibli studio. Full of fantastical symbolism and a visually breathtaking animation style that varies throughout the film. Lulls in the middle but overall one of my favorite films of the year.
