  was not expecting this to focus on the relationship between Henry and Karen as one of the most in depth parts of the film but that’s honestly my favorite part of the whole movie. getting to hear Karen’s narration is so interesting and the whole story being told from 2 perspectives is so cool and she’s so fleshed out, it just kind of sucks that we lose that half way through the film.

  besides that Pesci is fantastic and the songs in this are really non stop bangers. Lorraine Bracco as Karen is the highlight will be thinking about that performance forever.

  ending had me giggling and kicking my legs it was just that good. really fun seeing Fassbender act like a robot (complimentary) while next to his very expressive and morally corrupt supporting cast. Blanchett also incredible.

  the first fishing scene very much reminded me of the turtle scene in Conclave.

  credit where credit is due, it’s good to see Giancarlo Esposito in a role that isn’t a complete Gus Fring clone and only a little bit of a Gus Fring Clone, and i guess the cgi wasn’t bad.

  still in love with this! the hype is real! 

  really sunk into dafoes performance this time, he (expectedly) devours every scene he’s in, i also love what eggers does with shadows in this. still wish we spent more time in the castle tho, truly my favorite scenes of the year in that section of the movie. 

  final shot of this feels like eggers saying “i’m that guy.” and i think that’s pretty fucking awesome 

  “I AM AN APPETITE.”
