Gory, cute, dumb, and fun. Jack Quaid has his niche and if you’re into that, it sells itself. Amber Midthunder will hopefully get more work so she’s not relegated to Cool Girl status because she elevated this thankless part. Ray Nicholson is def carrying on the family manic menace.

Pacing issues aside, definitely a thoughtful sci fi flick. Enjoyed Trump Ruffalo more than I thought I would.
Also I’m sure that Bong Joon Ho and Paul Verhoven got drinks once and Verhoven informed him that Americans need to have their symbolism fed to them on a giant plate with words spelled out on the napkin reaffirming “yes this is about you and also yes I’m making fun of you.”

Having grown up with this movie as a kid, it was exactly what a "home with chicken pox" middle schooler wanted with his day: low budget simple story with one-liners and good guy v. bad guy plot. It is NOT the worst Robocop movie and it is NOT a good movie overall but it also doesn't sully the franchise's good name like some other entries or attempts. Ultimately it's biggest crimes are that it's the last of the series and that it killed Fred Dekker's career.
