Jacob's Ladder 1990

I usually keep away from watching horror movies just by myself, but I gave this one a go since I played Silent Hill 2 and learned this was an inspiration. It's really bittersweet for a horror movie. Fantastic drama with elements of horror.

Manhunter 1986
Clear, crisp, artistic visual style. Absolutely inspiring. The thriller aspect of this movie felt a bit like an elongated Miami Vice episode, but it still built up all of its characters to give everything all that needed impact. But Goddamn, Michael Mann sure knew how to conclude his movies with a concussive BANG. Awesome movie.

Heat 1995
It burns slow yet elegantly, and when it reaches the fuse it goes out in a magnificent, picturesque explosion. Stars had to align for this movie to have such a perfectly cast array of actors. The amalgamation of visuals and sound this movie had will never be replicated, and I firmly believe this is a truly one-of-a-kind picture.
This is my favourite movie of all time, bar-none.
