Just lost my Kurosawa virginity and how perfectly mundane and horrifying it was.

Adolescence 2025
Great story and Stephen Graham is ace in this.
Wish it focused less on the Kid at times (especially in episode 3 with the therapist, which felt unnecessary? Although, this provided some great script improv on screen by the therapist which gave this bottle episode some life).
Instead, it could’ve utilised this time to further explore the effects of the situation on the parents like it did in the finale, and the sister who is given much less screen time than any of family and is somewhat neglected at times.
Otherwise really good, impressive camerawork.

Men 2022
First half of this was really creepy and really interesting. Unfortunately, it tragically turns into an Indie student film, trying to be too smart for its own good… pretentious and amateur like.
Led me regretting the fact I let my girlfriend pick this film and left me in desperation for it to finish, so I could have my tea. Thankfully, I learnt something from this experience… that you shouldn’t let a film student influence any film choices.
