Maria 2024
For a film based on dialogues the most main thing that made the film dull was the dialogues itself. While Maria’s life could’ve been captured perfectly with these cast, the way the scenario was written turned everything upside down and one-note. Even the footage of Maria’s life shown only in the credits was able to capture her personality more comprehensive. I guess according to Pablo Larrain, all three women he chose for his biopics has the same personality. But it was so worth to see our national treasure Haluk Bilginer.

hauntingly gorgeous and beautifully shot. Shades of brown and yellow mixed together to create a mystical haze. It feels like a dream. It grabs you and takes you away. Two souls far from each other connected by a strong and irresistible bond. How it depicts the loneliness of lost souls is masterful. Also the score was breathtaking.
