silly, yes, but my finding of its overall appeal as unsavory and bland unfortunately outweighs the snappy satirical humor it is widely known for as a classic. one thing is for certain, the stupidity of these characters (although mostly for comic relief) do not shy away from the idiots we have seated in authority in the real world.
