  Many things to hate about this movie, but slight improvement over Shithouse. Would maybe be better if he didn’t cast himself as the “guy who everyone likes and is always doing the right thing and gets away with everything because his off putting quirks are actually super charming”

  War is surreal. Film is surreal. Everyday life is surreal. Watching this family go through their life and make a film to represent it brings hope and joy and sadness and confusion and so much love. I kept thinking this film will one day be a historical text just like the poem the title is pulled from. Cinema magic.
