hearty narrative—very much like kore-eda's filmmaking and although, a little frustrated with some shots, i realized this film indelves much details of connection and emotions beyond what are seen on visuals.

Like Father, Like Son 2013
Can't really point it out but this film feels lacking in comparison to other family films by Kore-eda.
Maybe it was due to the fact that innocence and pureness are much silent as the film unfolds away from the involved children.
Yet there is still beauty in parenthood, very much despite the insecurities rooted from comparisons. Women solidarity is also a theme which this films lovingly touched upon.
Despite lacking particular depths, this film surely shown its own narrative of a family. Which whether from blood or personal relationships, a bond is built and never fogotten.
