  I bawled my eyes out when Alvin Straight crossed that bridge. I had never seen this piece before but it somehow seems the most fitting. Rest in peace, David. You were a personal hero of mine and an inspiration for generations to come.

  I’m not a big fan of Stephen King but I’m the biggest fan of this story. Sometimes I forget how much I cry reading it but this movie wouldn’t let me forget it at the end. As soon as Bobby asked Molly if her mother was Carol, I was weeping like a baby. Not the best movie, not the worst, but it’s one helluva gut punch in the most bittersweet way. What a ride
