The French Connection 1971
The scenes in French aren’t subtitled, not sure if that’s intentional or not but oh well. The subway chase scene is awesome. Fantastic score. RIP gene hackman the goat of saying “god damnit!”

I just finished watching this and I checked OJ’s twitter and apparently he just died?? Eerie timing.
What stood out to me was how OJ basically lucked into beating the murder case because of Rodney King. The trial became a referendum on the LAPD’s long racist history, and OJ benefited from that. The ironic part was that OJ had basically shunned the black community: “I’m not black, I’m OJ,” etc. He left his black wife for a much younger white…
