Very fun movie to watch, laughed a lot and kept engaged the whole time, didn’t love the rushed vulnerability towards the end (but it made for a couple of beautifully shot scenes). Zendaya was incredible, so was Josh O’Connor. A delight to watch without having to overthink or over analyze anything.

I was excited to find that this was a movie about journalism (somehow managed to know nearly nothing about it before walking into the theater) but the film didn’t have a firm stance on photojournalism as a deeply political job. We saw multiple generations of journalists and their naturally various approaches to the profession but the version with youthful passion (via the Jessie character) seemed to be reduced down to not much more than image fetishism, and the more seasoned/principled…
