Chungking Express 1994
When I first watch the movie, I only saw a group of obsessed people, and really questioned their actions. During my second watch, I realized that obsession is just a way of reflect their inner world. Their hopeless situation during the “expiration” of Hong Kong, being stuck between leaving and staying, lack of identity and never feeling belongingness… Thisis definetly much more than a series of love story. This is totally about remembering that California dream is nothing but a delusion, and a way to cope with despair. I really love this movie.
