surrealism and existential dread are what i live for and lynch does both so well.
his use of sound design to make you feel uneasy has impressed me ever since i watched eraserhead and couldn't figure out why i felt nauseous the whole time even though i often don't get grossed out by movies -- i can feel these rabbits' fear, anxiety, and paranoia through the screen and they don't even have any facial expressions.
