Deeply uncomfortable but beautifully shot, with a masterclass Weird Little Gremlin Man performance.

Denzel being cool as hell, as Denzel does, and Dakota Fanning being precocious, as Dakota does, plus bad guys getting treated badly, nice & simple ingredients for a good movie.

Not great, but definitely good.

The film aimed for a Thoughtful Melancholy and, unfortunately, landed in a Slow Boredom.

I appreciate what they tried to do, but it simply didn't land for me.

Beautiful & Gross, Ethereal, Tense & Funny in equal measure. Wonderful performances from all three of the cast.

Loved the use of Fae Folkore and all the innocent requests and "traps" at play, and that ultimately any malevolence was that of a needy child and not some deliberate evil.

The Sound Design is the grand highlight of the movie, by far.

Loved it.
