I remember clearly when I watched this movie together with my sisters. I picked the film, my older sister found a website and set it up, and well my younger sister is the youngest and she does what a 14 year-old does (in my mind I thought she was always 9). I used to live in a small house in my hometown. My dad would, of course, need his leisure time. But in a small house, us kids go everywhere, including my parents' room. And when dad's leisure time after a long day includes films like Predator 2, which has many amazing uses of English, such as "Pussyface", "want some candy?", and "You are one ugly MotherFucker". You can't have kids hearing those words, and adding them to their vocabulary, sadly.…
I have no idea how my friend Edward managed to (a) learn of this film and (b) convince us all in the Scout group to watch it. Its a bit absurdist for me to wrap my head around at that time. But I still look fondly upon the memory of all of us watching this film that afternoon in Scouts. Its a hot day. 2018. I was a young boy entering young adulthood. I'm getting used to life as and fitting in with other Scout Leaders. We're all a bit confused, side-eyeing Edward every now and then.
