Karmen Gei 2001
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Went into this with no context whatsoever and was pleasantly surprised. It is my first foray into African Francophone films and Karmen is an expressive woman, I love her.
One thing that I truly appreciate is the use of song as a means of rebellion in expression. From the prisons to her Ma's restaurant, they conveyed what words couldn't say in song.
Halfway through, I got confused, but maybe I'll give it another shot.
