Good science fiction explains how change can affect our future. Great science fiction questions how we will react to that change. What is humanity’s role in a vast universe? Should androids dream of electric sheep? And most important of all: what if crack babies could predict crimes that haven’t happened yet?

Very few SciFi flicks can compare to Stephen Spielberg’s Minority Report. It is second only to Mr. David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation of Dune.

Starring John Candy and the beautiful Jean Louisa Kelly

Given that this is a John Hughes movie, there have always been rumors that Molly Ringwald auditioned but was passed over.

In this dog’s opinion,  John Candy was the right choice. Ringwald likely would have struggled to play a midwestern uncle in his 40s. 

My only complaint: this film doesn’t have a surrealist, dreamlike feeling like the films of the great Mr. David Lynch.
