it's time. We study this for english cLIT and i think this is just beyond storytelling perfection.
First off the bat, Baz Luhrman, i sometimes think his films are too jarring/agressive/full of themselves but these things just instantly played into the stroy of Gatsby. The world of West egg is FAKE, and even the CGI scenes felt purposefully grandiose, swooping and over the top - they felt unobtainable/impossible like all of these people's lives.
