Look at that Y2K-ass poster, absolutely iconic. Moody dipshit teenagers really are the best protagonists for these. I dig the way this takes itself so seriously, especially compared to the later entries. FD2 took the piss a bit, but the vibes were right, whereas 3 onward feel way too self-aware. Final Destination 2 2003
The one I think I feel better about than most. By far the most diverse cast in the franchise really helps - every other entry is 18-year-old and their BFFs, this is a nice change. Motivations are different, there's contrast in perspectives and methods people take, and there's still that tinge of the millenium-era grunge that I adore.
