  The Polar Express 2004

  One of my all time favorite (nostalgic) Christmas movies. Watching w/ Jared after such a long time and we’ve made a lot of commentary on the iconic-ness of this film. They did what they had to. The cutest pacing,  storyline, use of storytelling techniques (suspense, world-building, movie logic), and meaning tooo🥹🥹🥹. BELIEVEEEEE. Made in 2004 too…like okay groundbreaking for its time. 

  But even all the analyzing and commentary aside. It’s simply a feel good movie.

  The Hurt Locker 2008

  I don’t usually like violent war movies but that’s exactly what Bigelow likes to mess around with. Breaking the conventional ways we view or see those genres. By the end I feel as if I watched a character digestion through the trials of war rather than this spectacle of war that were suppose to see the characters interact with.
