I don’t know why it took me so long to log this film. Maybe because I’m not sure how to feel about it.
Look it’s a mess, certainly. Maybe even a disaster — to be expected from a film that rejects all rules. But the vibes are immaculate and commitment to the bit is commendable.
Megalopolis is a cluster of ideas formed over 40 years. It is surreal. A fever dream. Literally and figuratively.
It’s so bad…it’s good?? And watching it was an experience. Can’t wait to rewatch x

Paris, Texas has got to be one of my favourite films of all time. Not even a 4500 word essay that I had a month to finish but wrote overnight ruined it for me. And that is telling.
It’s a bittersweet and slow yet deeply moving masterpiece that depicts America from the European filmmaker’s point of view, challenging the spectator’s perception of masculinity and the American myth from the ideal to something…more compelling?
Cinematography by Robby Müller deserves a review…
