Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 1999
this movie ROCKED! after years of not really paying attention to star wars and only having watched star wars and return of the jedi or something, it was a truly amazing refresher to the series. anakin as a character is so tragic yet hopeful, he couldve become the chosen one and done true justice among jedi, yet the jedi order kinda treated him like shit honestly. also, the worldbuilding-SOOO GOOD. my favorite characters were mostly the droids and side chars like the king of jar jar binks's kingdom (fuck him though literally the most unfunny character ive ever sat through) and r2d2 and c3p0.
