The Holdovers 2023
Movies like The Holdovers are rare. One moment, I’m laughing out loud, and the next, I have tears in my eyes. The film is carried by a phenomenal Paul Giamatti, an incredible Dominic Sessa (how is this his debut??), and an equally fantastic Da’Vine Joy Randolph! On top of that, the film features beautiful sets and a brilliant screenplay.
At times, it even reminds me of Dead Poets Society, which is, of course, another big plus!
The Holdovers is such a heartfelt film - I haven’t seen one like it in a long time!
