My Father's Glory 1990
This is a beautiful adaptation of Marcel Pagnol’s book that I had read a few month before watching the movie. I found awesome that a lot of scenes in the movie were extremely close to the ones I imagined while reading the book, the réalisation by Yves Roberts is more than accorded to it. The music by Vladimir Cosma is mesmerizing. I loved that cicida sounds were involved in the music, emphasizing the « south » spirit that was already emanates from the aesthetic of the movie.
