Paddington 2 2017
I thought living through a pandemic made me emotionally numb, but this movie had me in tears. Somehow a simple movie about a cartoon bear living in London encapsulated so much about what it means to be a real person living absolutely anywhere. The heartbreaking parts were happy and the happy parts were sad. That’s what a movie should do — make you feel everything at once. Best movie ever. After watching the film, a colleague once said “I’m gon be nice to everyone from now on,” so I encourage anyone and everyone to watch so they can feel just as inspired.

The Nice Guys 2016
Loved it. Can’t go wrong with Gosling and he definitely committed to this character. I’m a sucker for a good 70s in California movie, and this film definitely delivers. It has action, drama, humor, and, most importantly, heart. It’s fun and intense but mostly fun.
