  I trust Robert Eggers with my life. A truly beautiful film. I’m so grateful William Defoe was here, he was the comforting presence I need throughout this film. Eggers is such an effective storyteller and master of his craft that my friend cried at the end of the movie over its depth and I am sleeping with a cross tonight.

  All the components of this movie were well done but it wasn’t more than the sum of its parts. But I did love, I am the target audience. Except the cinematography that was mid. also the Newport scenes were recorded in the town in New Jersey my family goes every summer and that was so cool. Extremely awesome to see to timothee chalamet in a movie not enduring horrifying traumas. Although my heart broke for those woman as I too have been hurt and neglected by a short guitarist.
