  Did what it was meant to do … and more because it was stunning? I mean what do we expect from period dramas? I know what I expect… a good dog. Boy, do I love what they do with dogs in period pieces!! Afghan hounds? Get outta here!! And those Dalmatians??? So freaking cute!!! Would’ve been four stars if they had spaniels running around, but alas.

  The writing tries to turn her stupidity into an embarrassing display of what feminism might look like to someone I hate. I really didn’t like this movie. Some shots were good. Funny at times. Finally made a movie about how the real monster is men, but at the expense of elevating the strangest interpretations of rape and womanhood.
