  Every year the freshman at my high school would have a field trip to see this. Instead of Kobe we would yell “hoop dreams” when launching a ball of paper into the recycling. I think the medical term for this is collective psychosis. Anyway this movie kept cutting to a satisfying ending, we would clap, then it would keep going. It was like being rick rolled 5 times in an hour. By the real end we waited a full minute before accepting the movie has actually ended. It is this and page 24/25 of the Hot Zone that have traumatized Grant high students ages 15+.
