I strongly believe that a movie is only as good as its ending, and this one concludes in a way that is both incoherent and overly abstract, failing to provide any closure for the audience. Despite the outstanding cinematography, acting, and musical score, the film's conclusion is undermined by writing that feels disjointed and needlessly obscure. I truly wish I could have enjoyed it, I really do.
Very creative visuals and heartwarming story. But I wish the theme of the movie was a little focused on its audience of kids.
Vampires have become a staple of mainstream culture, often portrayed in lighthearted or satirical settings like What We Do in the Shadows. This makes it all the more remarkable that this movie successfully uses the same mystical creatures to evoke genuine horror. From the sound effects to the stellar performances, the world it builds will pull you in completely, making you feel every ounce of dread and every beat of trepidation.
Some movies whisper their messages, while others shout them. This movie doesn’t just shout—it blasts, making you squirm in discomfort. It amplifies a deeply ingrained reality for women with such dramatic intensity that it visually and emotionally jolts your senses, making the message utterly unforgettable.
