unable to get past the main issue: what seems to be a story of female liberation is so obviously written/directed by men that it dominates the story and doesn’t allow me as a female audience member to root for Bella in the way that it seems like the movie wants me to.

This movie was not good at being a movie but it did have really significant cultural content and told an important story. For that it’s worth watching even if it’s far from Sorkin’s best work..very far. Points for Eddie Redmayne and Sacha Baron Cohen being cute 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Negative points for having to use many brain cells to follow the plot 😭😡
