Amélie 2001
French films have admittedly been a bt of a blind spot for me, so I felt Amélie was an required viewing, if I'm to remidy that. While I enjoyed Amélie and see why many people swear by it, I don't think it really grabbed me, either emosionally or narratively. I was pleasantly surprised that Amélie herself was a well-roundred and fleshed out character, as I was worried going in she was gonna be Manic Pixie Dream Gril type character going in. Above-all-else, undeniably charming.
