  Interesting idea with obvious symbolism in almost every scene yet masked in such a way that it can be interpreted in many different ways. Sadly, it is not enjoyable or engaging at all.

  Just an excellent case study in how to murder a concept in execution.

  It gives away almost all its plot points way before they happen which made it for an interesting watch for observers with a keen eye. It doesn't attempt to scare you but rather creeps you out in the worst (best) ways possible. Everything seems so peaceful on the surface and we're always in the sun which I found super unique for this type of movie. It was a reverse on the traditional where you feel the most unsafe in broad daylight. A fantastic counterpart to it's sister-film Hereditary where all they scary stuff hides in the dark.

  Also, I'm now terrified of Swedes.

  The movie starts off fantastic and finishes as great. I loved the bootcamp sequence and consider it the highpoint. The rest kind of paled in comparison.
