Watched this on the big screen with my wife, daughter (+girlfriend).
An iconic piece of cinema that is of its time.
The characters are flawed but they are complicated because of those flaws. Everyone understands that by the end of the movie.
In my high school experience the dodgy fact that Claire makes out with Bender is not that surprising. Some chicks just dig bad guys and make bad choices.

It's not an action classic like the first one but the legacy sequel aspect is deftly handled and for the most part the riffs on the lines and characters of the past pay off.
Eddie Murphy drops effortlessly back into the role, and while Reinhold, Ashton and Reiser might not quite knock it out of the park, Murphy gives it everything.
