  A little grittier than I was expecting, but I think that actually paid better respect to the issue highlighted than downplaying it would. I’ve been told first hand that reservations are some of the most depressing places on earth and this seemed to do that justice. I think the movie was enjoyable for the stretches that were supposed to be and very potent for the parts that were supposed to stick with you. Kind of really got to me because I’ve always wanted to work on reservations but have been discouraged by American Indians for several reasons.
