Grey Gardens 1975
Truly captures a moment in time that couldn’t be replicated. The disregard for the camera and the relationship that is formed between little Edie and the cameraman is so raw and disregards fear of being perceived. (Who knows if that’s because this is before mass social media prevalence or just little Edies personality). Overall unsettling and yet comforting at the same time. Probably because i grew up in a hectic environment and this captures deep dysfunction that is somehow still serving those stuck in it. Weirdly familiar.
This was the beginning of a very deep rabbit hole I fear.

Tarantino films could use a lot less n word and r*pe scenes and a lot more dancing sequences and fuck ass bobs. The story telling format of pulp fiction really ate the boots down chile I’m dead as tea sis. Wanted to hate this so bad :(
