Where the Wild Things Are 2009
A film that doesn’t make you want to be a kid again, but to be a better adult.
I don’t think I’ve seen a more heart wrenching exploration of growing up, the lust for freedom and its complications with relationships, loneliness, and finding a place, and meaning in this world. There is so much love and depth put into this film that I am only skimming its surface with the summing up of its themes.
Such harrowing and thoughtful symbolism, I get more out of it each time I watch.
