  I love how unapologetically over the top this movie is with its themes, body horror, and plot. right from the start you understand the themes of feminine beauty standards and the placement of importance on it from the male characters and elisabeth herself. I felt that elisabeth could’ve been fleshed out more as a character cause at times she felt to be a vehicle with the story and not very three dimensional, but that in a way services her dissociation of herself. the cinematography was great with amazing set pieces and colors, however i wasn’t a fan of the cuts and editing that much.
