I want so badly to enjoy this franchise and avatar but cgi anthropomorphic creatures unsettle and perturb me
Extra half star because when I was able to get past that it kept my attention
I wish there was more dialogue or something. It was almost like it needed subtitles
Noah wanted to kiss Nova multiple times but I don’t think he registered the emotion

Seeing this in imax particularly made it all consuming
Kirsten Dunst and Cailee Spaeny’s dynamic made it for me. Because of it, their casting together, a specific scene of Kirsten Dunst’s character lying in the grass that seems to reference The Virgin Suicides, and their characters’ story together, I wonder if it was intentional to call on Sofia Coppola’s whole universe or whatever like that. It was awesome
The final battle showdown sequence is glorious
