So yes, Namjoon does actually love her, but of course in his own twisted way. When her father chose her over the organization, it sparked something in him, curiosity, jealousy, need. From that moment, Namjoon didn’t just want revenge. He wanted to own the thing that made her father defy him. So yeah, he loves her. But it’s a version of love that’s dangerous. He sees her as his light, his rose garden, his moon, but not someone he’s willing to let go. Hence the fic’s name Moonstruck. It describes what he felt when he saw her.

Was the marriage just for revenge? I’d say partially. The forced wedding was a strategic move, it’s meant to humiliate her father, lure him out, and assert dominance. But it quickly became personal. For Namjoon, marriage was the only way to bind her to him in a way no one else could undo. A way to rewrite her life with him at the center. So yeah, it started as revenge… but it evolved into obsession.

Now, will he treat her well in the future? That depends on your definition of “well.” He’ll pamper her, protect her, give her every luxury, but never freedom. He believes in soft control. He’ll kiss her forehead and bury the people she loves in the same garden.

So… she won’t be physically tortured (maybe chained), but emotionally? Psychologically? She’s in for a storm. The punishments I could see him using include sedation, keeping her in a locked bedroom for days with guards at the door. He might gaslight her, convincing her that she’s unwell, unstable, that he’s the only one who can protect her. He’ll take away her comforts, no flowers, no garden walks, no sunlight, until she “learns.” His voice will stay calm. His punishments will feel like corrections, and that’s what makes him terrifying.

But the moment she complies, the moment she says “okay”, he’ll cradle her. That’s the danger, how tender he can be when she stops fighting.
