I wouldn’t so no more…

It’s just I’m in kind of a stuff stop with Genshin Impact and Hoyo as a whole. I find this pretty blatant colorism and racism disgusting and a less sin is the writing has gotten progressively worse. And people only give it a pass because “It’s got deep lore” disregarding how they have been retconing stuff and just fumbling over themselves. recently. They have tried twice to write massive war and failed both times.

That aside I still really love Diluc as a character.

I just can’t really consume Hoyo content anymore.

It’s been very frustrating seeing something I love just downward spiral form something I felt the creators had a store to tell to something that feels more like a cash grab pandering to the waifu crowd. Which isn’t me. And I can’t keep consuming something and *hoping* only to be contentiously let down.

I haven’t forgotten Diluc, but I feel like Hoyo has. And only bring him out when they want his pretty boy face on some promotional material. Which is super disheartening to me.

All that said. I’ve been sort of kind of maybe doing a rewrite of Sweet Children of the Ice. Tightening the Magic system and world building trying to balance the soft and hardness of the system. Tightening up the world building (You can’t just take word form Gnosticism and Demonology say that’s good world building) and generally trying to Make it into an original work.

So I’m still happy to talk about Diluc, or inspire Diluc OC Galan. (I am not totally satisfied with my structure yet so I’ll hold off on the finer detail)
