Gunblr Games: Mediterranean Response

[Disclaimer for anyone new here: These are strictly fictional entertainment exercises within hypothetical scenarios. None of this is meant to be taken too seriously, or as a threat, or any sort of political stance. Just interactive fiction. I am not responsible for anyone else's actions or statements.]

A large Mediterranean island nation is in a state of crisis. The national government has effectively collapsed under the pressure of calls for reforms and repeated economic struggles. As the rule of law and defense capabilities evaporate, several neighboring Southern European and West Asian nations begin making military incursions bolstered by numerous proxy forces. The various sides are near-peer to each other, but behind modern NATO standards. Outdated jets and armored vehicles, mixed with modern armed variants of civilian helicopters, some night vision is infrequently encountered, even less so amongst the proxies. The United States and most first world nations have not openly supported a side as of yet.

You work for a PMC that primarily provides personal security and K&R insurance for international companies and NGOs and offers additional services for "Crisis Management and Asset Extraction". This will be focused on that service, and the firm's internal SMU that is effectively a private sector GRS.

The whole unit has been mobilized and tasked to extract non-essential personnel and provide continued security for essential personnel. While the militaries are primarily focused on each other, the proxy forces and opportunistic local criminal elements are running loose. Reports are heard of officials from the failed government, as well as foreigners, being taken hostage. Any clients in such a position will need in-extremis rescue and transport to the nearest airport or port. If they can not be evacuated, temporary safe houses will need to be established until evacuation is possible.

Your ROE from the firm's stateside headquarters is to "defend yourselves and the clients only if absolutely necessary". However, the ROE from the senior management in-country is "if the shooting starts, finish it".

Company vehicles are unarmored or discreetly armored civilian models previously selected by the response unit and predeployed to the region. As a team leader in that unit, you need to pick your personal weapons and deployment gear, preferred vehicles, as well a set of team equipment you might want in addition to what other team members have personally selected.

What's in your toolbox? Be as detailed as you want. It can be just the basics or all the way to the boots and bullet grain weight. The firm has state department clearance for ITAR items and heavy weaponry, and the clients have deep pockets.

Elon Musk who is an unelected billionaire who does not have have Congressional authority to halt payments and access millions of personal information and SSN numbers from Americans has forced himself and his 6 college student workers into the US Treasury while duly elected members of Congress who have access to federal buildings are denied entry.

The Oligarchy has taken over the federal government under the guidance of Donald Trump

Wow you democrats did this for 4 years, quit your whining .

☝🏼 Well first off, this...

Second, I still don't remember Fauci, Birx, et al, being on any ballot I voted on. Or anyone else in the Cabinet, for that matter. Oh, he's got your information and you have no idea what he's doing with it... welcome to the life of every American around tax time.

Third... you don't have to remind people that he's a billionaire. Much like X formerly being Twitter, we already know that. Unless, of course, you have a reason of some kind for doing so (gee, what might that be)?

But the biggie is, while he has access to these things... it's most likely not him doing the reading. As a billionaire, as the left so often likes to remind us, and as the head of the agency, he has people for that. Now sure, he's probably more hands-on whilst fighting the good fight, but he is no more wrenching on a Tesla than he is poring through line after line of expense reports. He has some clever young things to do that, and anything he wants to do has to be approved by the president through the actual head of DOGE. Elon Musk is not going to show up at your door with a blindfold and a sack with a dollar sign on it.

Ultimately... breathe. DOGE holds no horrors for me, because I am not ripping off the government. If you're that terrified of them doing their job, one wonders what gravy train you're riding that you're so worried about. 🥔

"Unelected"

I don't remember voting for ANY of the workers that have access to my SSN and personal information.

"Who do you want for Data Entry Person #355?" Hasn't been on a single ballot since I started voting.

I guess OP thinks they shouldn't have access either?

As a side note, I love how they always have to bring up that Elon is a Billionaire and that the workers under him are in their 20s. As if either of those things matter at all.

Facts don’t matter to these retards but for those with a brain, the agency was created under obama and no one voted in any of the employees before.

I hate the government.

The more I learn about cash for clunkers the more it pisses me off. Just on a personal level it's disgusting that so many functional cars were intentionally ruined because of "fuel economy" or some other made up bullshit, utterly kneecapping the used car market for younger people with less money. It's all the hatefulness and fear that you see in the UK inert guns market minus any functional or comprehensible cause beyond "old, affordable thing bad". It's literally the broken window fallacy taken to a ridiculous extreme, where automakers feared that market saturation would lead to reduced car sales, so all the old stuff has to become junk and needs to be destroyed ASAP.

I like machines. I like working, unneutered, functional machines. It's fucking sadistic that they would intentionally make a fluid for non-military purposes specifically to destroy engine blocks.

Mediterranean Response loadout. @mikeneedsadrink

I’ve broken my kit down into three subcategories. Personal security work (some embassy staff have a meeting across town, and I have to babysit), defensive/offensive kit (full running and gunning kit) and “specialty items” (things have gone full 13 hours and everything outside the walls are hostile).

PSD:

The location of the principal and events obviously dictate the attire. I need something that will work in jeans and a tee as much as it’ll work in a suit.

-Smith & Wesson M&P subcompact 2.0, wearing a holosun EPS carry. I’ve become a really big fan of the M&P line lately, while simultaneously coming to dislike the 365 the more trigger time I get on it. Mainly due to the terrible trigger. The M&P doesn’t have that issue.

-B&T MP9 with the matching B&T suppressor, a TLR-1HL light and an aimpoint. In my mind, the MP9 is the standard for PSD work. Whether carried under a jacket, in the center console of a car, or carried in its own bag that you can shoot out of, it’s really hard to beat.

-Microtech Tac-P. Because sometimes you just really need to open up a juice box.

Defensive/offensive kit:

The location is a bit of an odd one, main rifle wise. It’s not quite the Middle East, and not quite Europe. I decided to settle on a standout rifle from that part of the world.

-CZ Bren 2 5.56, with a 12.5” barrel wearing a Trijicon ACOG sight and piggyback SRO. I also specifically want the G36 stock adapter on it because it looks fucking choice.

-Remington 870 “Breacher” SBS, with pachmayr grip. While specified as a breaching shotgun, a short 12 gauge has a lot of uses. Can’t go wrong with it.

-Colt M45A1, wearing a streamlight TLR-1 HL. Can’t go wrong with a government .45.

Specialty items:

My idea behind specialty items is basically things have gotten really, really bad. Think 13 hours level bad. The issues in the region are on the doorstep, and the team is the only thing keeping it out.

-MK48 7.62 belt fed machine gun, wearing a Elcan 1-4 machine gun optic and IR laser device.

-Shortened M79 single shot 40mm grenade launcher. For when things really bad. Carried with a mix of 40mm grenades, from high explosive to buckshot and less lethal.

May the best man win!

Fuckin gross. I hate what we have become, in a real society we’d take those 2 dudes out back and beat the brakes off em.

The left abandoned black people in favor of illegals as their favorite minority.

And now they've abandoned women in favor of trans as their favorite gender.

There really is no reason for blacks and women to vote for Democrats.

This is my sport. (Don't have to consider it a sport; i hardly do).

This shit has been infecting every. Damn. Sport.

Not too long ago a biological woman conceded to a trans woman in a final match to preserve her dignity and the game of pool. I've played hundreds of men and women in match. With enough experience you see very obvious differences in thought, play, and skill level.

Roughly a year later (I'm not good with time) the billiards governing body decided the woman was the problem and removed her altogether.

Now two men are competing for a title that even after 10 years in the sport i can't dream of achieving.

They stole it from women with more skill, passion, and love for pool than ill ever have.

Fuck them.
