B&Q on Instagram: "ad DIY ALCOVE DESK with @bandq_uk!  I diy-ed an alcove desk to create my dream office space using materials, paint and accessories from @bandq_uk.  I first built the frame for the desk & shelves and then used 300mm pine furniture boards for the shelves & the desk.  I then added a front trim & stained with my colour of choice. Tools - Drill - Laser level - Mitre Saw (can also use hand saw) - Hammer - Spirit Level - Tape Measure - Stud Finder - Pencil - Nail Gun (can also use hammer & nails) Materials - 5010445686153 - Rawl Plugs - I used 10mm ones - 3663602747406 - Timber screws, to screw the main frame into the wall I used 90mm screws I already had. You need to use screws at least 70mm thick I’d say to be able to go through the frame and into the wall.
