Buckle up because this one is going to get messy!! Going into this busy bin I knew my daughter wasn't going to spend much time with this sensory bin. She hates messes and getting things on her hands. I know to a lot of people that sounds great, but to me that means wiping her

Jess | Sensory Play with a sprinkle of mindfulness on Instagram: "⚠️ Warning ⚠️ this is really really messy play and a whole heap of fun!! CHIA SLIME Another one of my favourite messy play bases. Here’s what you’ll need 🟢 1/4 cup chia seeds 🟢 2 cups water (you can always add more if you want a slimier consistency 🟢 Food colouring 🟢 1/2 cup corn flour I tripled the recipe for me to be able to use this between 2 trofast tubs. You can literally use this base for any theme or simply for some fun messy play - just change the colour! All you need is 1/4 cup of chia seeds, 1 3/4 cups of water and food colouring. I placed them in the refrigerator overnight. It’s a bit messy, but I loved the colours and the jelly consistency. It was kind of like slime but taste-safe! You have to try it, your little one will love it. ❤️save this activity for later ❤️Tag a friend who would love this!" Hannah Sylcox, COTA on Instagram: "✨ 2 Ingredient Chia Slime Sensory Play ✨

Here is a SUPER simple and really fun sensory play activity you can throw together quickly this summer to do with your kids. My 1 & 3 year old kids loved this one (especially my 1 year old!) It gets messy, so I'd recommend playing outside, but it cleans up really easily as well!

This activity engages the tactile sensory system as well as being a great fine motor activity.

This is what you'll need:
1/4 C chia seeds (I doubled the recipe by doing two containers of 1/4 cup chia and added food coloring)
1 3/4 C water
Food coloring (totally optional)
Add to container, stir, let set in fridge for 2 hours, PLAY!
