Important announcement: the future of phantom statistician
Hi everyone! I’m just going to cut right to the chase. I have some good news and bad news to share. Let’s start with the bad.
Bad news: As a federal employee, I will be required to return to the office 5 days a week starting March 17. This means that if I want to keep up with this blog, I’ll have to devote my free time after work to doing so. Unfortunately, that is not how I’d like to spend my free time. What does this mean? I will be stepping away from this blog as soon as my queue of requests has run out. I will not be opening requests again. You all can go ahead and thank President Musk for this. I’m really sorry to let you all down.
Good news: Even without the return-to-the-office mandate, I had already made the decision to step away from Tumblr starting around August 2025 because… I am pregnant! Yes, my wonderful husband and I are having a baby. We are absolutely thrilled. With the arrival of the baby, it would not have been possible for me to maintain this blog anyway. I’m just going to be stopping a little earlier than intended.
I’d like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for following me and supporting me <3 Your engagement has meant the world to me. Some of you have sent me the most kind, encouraging messages, all of which I’ve taken to heart. I’ve been making charts for you all since 2017. It’s been a good, long run, and it’s been an honor to serve you for all these years. I’m excited to start the next chapter in my life. I wish you all the very best.
Much love, Phantom Statistician
