I suppose there may be someone out there who refers to young people as days-old cubs but it's not common at all where I am from.

A: The Cubs is the name of a team, and it should be written with a capital C. Same for Goat, it was part of the name of the tavern, so it should be capitalized.
It's usually referred to as "Billy Goat curse," or "the curse of the Billy Goat" but not Billy Goat's curse. I guess it's not incorrect though.
