A: “Dense” means a lot of mass in a small space, or it can refer to a group of things being tightly packed together, for example a “dense crowd” is a crowd with a lot of people very close together (all pushing each other because they are so close together). “Denser” is the comparative of this.
“Silhouette” is like an outline or the general shape of something or someone, for example if it’s dark and you can’t see the details of a person, but you can see the shape of them, you can see their silhouette.
I’m guessing this phrase was referring to something like a city skyline, and there are a lot more buildings than there were before, so the silhouette looks more crowded/denser than before.
