The application of aluminum foam materials is increasing rapidly due to the high demand during the last decades. This research presents an overview of the characteristics and architectural applications of aluminum foam materials. Moreover, it represents the most relevant properties, in particular, physical and mechanical aspects and figures out the prospects and growth rate of these materials in architectures by considering the economic benefits. Besides, based on these specific characterizations, the most valuable applications along with advantageous in architectural works are discussed.

Since Casabella-Costruzioni first published the Brazilian Ministry of Education building in 1939, Italian magazines have repeatedly documented modern architecture in Latin America. Looking closely at articles published in Domus, Casabella-Continuità and Architettura: Cronache e Storia along the mid-decades of the twentieth century, the paper rehearses the circumstances of this editorial concern, and argues the existence of tendentious narratives that perform an “Italianization” of Latin American architecture. On the one hand, one such arbitrary construction brings into the spotlight subterranean impulses of postwar Italian architecture, which range from the vindication of a leading role in the international scene to the need for reconciling unfamiliar instances of modernity with deep-rooted vernacularism. On the other hand, the orientations of the Italian journals also betray something far more programmatic: the priority of the political–ideological credos of the magazines” directors over the proper overview of Latin American architecture. Unravelling this tendentious narrative, the paper will seek to unmask an act of instrumentalization that has gone largely unnoticed until today. And at the same time, it will recast Italy’s encounter with the Southern hemisphere in ways that read more as a window on postwar Italian architecture than on its Latin American counterpart.

Our critical research focused on the city of Córdoba, specifically, we have deepened the historical and social context during the islamic phase, trying to first understand and subsequently analyze the changes that the this culture brought with it and the repercussions of these alterations in the urban and architectural environment within the city.

Le sujet de la recherche concerne le mythe de Coronis et Apollon, raconté par Ovide aux deuxième livre des Métamorphoses, et sa représentation à travers les siècles. L'intérêt tourne notamment autour de la relation amoureuse entre Coronis et Apollon, qui s'est terminée par la mort de la femme à cause d’une trahison commise envers la divinité.

La ricerca si propone di individuare nuove possibili traiettorie per una prossima collisioni tra l’universo culturale e quello digitale, al fine di dare vita a un nuovo organismo, formato da una parte, dal museo fisico legato a una concezione tradizionale che permette un contatto diretto con gli oggetti culturali, e, dall’altra, un museo ubiquo, accessibile da chiunque, in ogni momento e da ogni luogo.

CAPITOLO 1 - TESI DI LAUREA relativa al sito denominato "I FORNI DE TREGNAGO", ovvero il cementificio di Tregnago nella provincia di Verona di fondazione di inizio '900, abbandonato negli anni'60. Nel primo capitolo di questa tesi viene ricostruita la storia del paese di Tregnago e del contesto in cui è inserito: la Val d'Illasi.
