A: Women also use it more often than men for a wider range of "cute" things. I often here it used when referring to clothing and food as well. "That hat is so adorable on you!" "What an adorable necklace you have!" "You're so adorable!" "What an adorable piece of cake you made for my birthday" etc. I 'm a guy so I rarely use it unless I'm talking about a friend's child or flirting with the opposite sex. So if you want to sound more masculine, as an American guy (in my opinion) I would not use it much unless you want to sound playful or flirtatious.
